Hi guys,

watched Galen's Rd 4 at Silver Lake against Sundance's Rd 4 last night. What a close contest it was. An unexpected bogey by Sundance mid-way through the front nine gave Galen the slimest of leads. The boys traded blows for the remainder of the round, until Galen strategically used the cart path on Hole 18 to gain about 50 yards on his drive, to give him a very short approach, which he took advantage of to birdie the last. His win could have been one shot better had his tee shot on Hole 6 not stopped half a roll short of an Ace. While Galen, claimed the Stroke honours, Steve's best round to that time, and his handicap, saw him take out the Handicap and Stableford honours.

Well played lads!

Cheers

Hi Guys,

I just played my first (ever) round at Worthington Chapel. All I can say is, bring your "A" game and your best putter. This is probably the most challenging course I have played. There is not one easy hole on this beauty. My putter saved me. Thank you, John Carlton.

Cheers

Brad

My first round at Breezy Ridge followed by two pints of Guinness with the lads in the clubhouse. Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Sorry guys. This has been a busy travel month and unfortunately recently my father-in-law has had a bowel obstruction and been pretty sick.

I intend to play a few rounds by the end of the week

I did warn you to bring your best putter, Steve. There are some doozy pin placements, aren't there?

The greens remind me of a period when I was trying to make the courses more difficult and I cringe at some of my pin placements. Now I seem to be making the fairways too tight. It's a process but I do find these greens very difficult and haven't been very good at reading them.

Hey all, my round 2 finally!

Lee (my father in law) is stable right now, still in hospital. We're hoping to see him able to eat by the weekend.
