Thanks Judy, you are correct. As a test ,I set up a 1 Tournament Season (4 rounds at Muirfield for this weekend). Unfortunately, the game forces my real player to play at "Advanced Ability Level" at least when the 2011 PGA tour players are selected as opponents. It appears for this particular season, certain play "options" are preselected by PGA2000 and the selections cannot be changed. As I mentioned previously, in one thread the click meter is so fast above "Standard" that my fastest second click catches the swing bar halfway back down which results in a whiff. I dropped out of the Tourney and let the round complete, and I could see when checking the Leaderboard, that the players "positions" were listed. So at least the "Position" issue is resolved.Indy Anna Jones wrote:I figure that the reason there's no tourney result (ranking) posted is that as far as the game is concerned, you're NOT playing a "sanctioned" tournament (apparently reserved for season play mode) but instead are only playing 4 continual rounds of golf vs X number of players.
That's the only reason I can think of, Dave.
I have determined I can play a season at "Standard" if I choose the Amateur roster. So I'm wondering how difficult it would be to use the 2011 PGA players as an amateur roster. I could sort of play a selective PGA Season and maybe I could check off most of the other pro requirements and leave the ability level unchecked. Then, I could just manually keep track of the virtual "winnings" based on the typical positional payoffs provided each Monday on line.
Thanks again for your patience and input on this matter.
Cheers, Dave
