Re: server down?
Yep, but Dar showed us a solution to the problem.
1. Open Kali, cancel the opening operations.
2. On the main screen on top, click on Chat Servers -> Server Mode
3. Give YOUR IP address to your fellow competitors. Have them click on Connect to Address, enter your IP address then click OK. This should bring them directly into your room.
Hope this helps.

Re: server down?
Spence,
I just checked and it appears that Kali is back up and operational.
The procedure Indy described is a way to play when Kali is down. Essentially, you are setting up a private server hosted by one of the players.
There are two ways to get your IP to give to other players:
1. When you start the private server, a message will appear in the Kali lobby like this
Starting Local Server Mode...Connecting to Local at ___.___.___.___
2. Alternately, you can get the same IP by using this link:
http://whatismyipaddress.com/
Your external IP number will be on the page that comes up.
That is the IP address the outside world (beyond the router and modem) sees for you. Others can join you in that private server room using that IP. All they need to do is go to Chat Servers and click on Connect to Address, put in the IP number (no port reqd). You can then proceed as you normally would in setting up a game.
Note: Our experience is that whoever sets up (hosts) the private server also has to set the game. Otherwise, you will have problems with players seeing the available game... not sure why.
