Here is my short par 5. Fairway runs out at just over 300yds. Be aware that over the crest it runs downhill. Best angle to the green is a draw around the bunker. Green is set into the side of a hill with a bunker guarding the front.
Thanks Pye and all the other comments on the mygolfer site. The Pic above is hole #1. Since it got a positive responce I decided to go ahead and do a second hole. Links, you had remarked on my bunkers and thanks I`m happy you like them. To answer your question yes i have over the years devolped a stream lined method for doing bunkers that give them a nice clean rolled look to them. All my bunkers are sunk and smoothed in the same manner, depth may vary depending on bunker size but generally they are all done the same way. And I have to say its one of the things that I`m the most pleased with is when someone says they could tell a hole of mine or a course I`ve done without my name on it.... thanks!
Heres hole # 2...still a little ruff, but should get the idea
From the fairway looking back at tees and hole # 1
I'm jealous ! Both of you have what appears to be outstanding designs in progress.
My course is nearing completion. I still have quite abit of planting to do and a little bit of detail work but all in all I'm a little ahead of schedule at this point in time. I just hope my old computer can handle the final results without crashing. So far its done fine when I compile but I'm afraid that when I get all the planting done it may not handle the load (Knock on Wood). Also I've started writing about the course and a hole by hole description.
