Re: Elysium Fields CC by Polslad [New Course]

Just got around to playing this course. Cannot really add anything that hasn't already been said or pointed out about the course and its detail and playability. It is certainly a course that has replay value to it. Thanks for the effort. It is a keeper!

Re: Links & Rugged Isle

Reinstall the Carnoustie library - that should fix it - but be forewarned that any course requiring Tulaichean Bay libraries (tul and tul2) may now be affected by this action. It is the Alan Toft phenomena! In order to have all 1600+ courses installed and playable, it requires reinstalling some libr...

Re: Top Courses and More

so far I'm unsure about Tobacco Road. It's not a course I had on disk in the past Yeah, I get that. Tobacco Road to me is a step back to what was before we got spoiled with all of the recent A listers. Think of recent designs by Brandt, Zager, Indy, Grayson, Polsdad, Caygle, Bryce, Duncan, Torben a...

Re: Before I can't do this anymore

Ahh Skins format. A lot of fun if you want to compete and you have no humans around - lol! I find that to be the most competitive type of AI after the Ryder Cup/fourball variety. Now if we could just mod the program to get a Wolf format like in Links! Trouble with using other formats in the tourname...

Before I can't do this anymore

I am engaging in some fourball and match play against my girls with a computer golfer as my partner. I am using the ATG men's list's Tom Weiskopf. Tom and I are actually doing pretty well as he seems to bail me out whenever I get into trouble. But then there are the missed putts - man the AI really ...

Re: Fishers Island

You amaze me. You keep at it and you find a way to get it done and when its done its like walking on the real course! I love this course and have had the privilege to be on it - if you can make it happen it would be a great joy for me. But no pressure - I already have so many great choices from your...

Re: Scottish Point

Honestly, whether you finish a design or not to me is not necessarily the point. There is a lot of fun to be had in just using the tools that are there in the game to enjoy. My girls and I have finished almost 20 courses but have never had the courage to share snaps on the Internet or even to upload...

Re: Top Courses and More

How about European Links and Johanne Golf Club v.2 by Stefan - both are great fun! Franklin Lakes is IMHO Steve Opfer's best course but probably not up to par with some of the gems you have already played. I would also suggest Tobacco Road if you want to get a look at what designers used to have to ...

Re: Masters Magic

Best of luck to you - hit em straight! I can appreciate trying to get it done when the pressure is on - even on the computer. It makes you appreciate Bobby Jones getting in done in one season without the aid of a computer all the more :) Now if only the artificial prize money could be spent, huh :la...

Re: What score to expect?

I think that you should expect higher scores if you are a True Swing guy than if you are a traditional Tri Click guy. I am a clicker and it is thought that the Tri Click in PGA 2000 is a whole lot easier than in other golf sims for the PC - I think that is true and that is why I use it instead of Tr...
