Re: Season Play Results

The Masters....was a frustrating experience. After a poor opening round of E, I crushed a -8 to easily make the cut. On the first hole of the 3rd round, I got stuck in the bunker off of the tee and shot a triple bogey. Never recovered after that and shot +2. I was 1 of only 4 + rounds in tough condi...

Re: Season Play Results

I can't make a freaking cut!!

It is really grating that if you shoot over par in round 1, you can essentially kiss a cut goodbye. Most of my cuts are happening around -4. My last tourney, I just stunk the place up and shot +4 in round 1. I didn't even try in round 2.

Re: Season Play Results

I put 4 incredible rounds together and won the Honda Classic at Doral. Amazingly, it put me 3rd on the money list. I am dead last in driving distance and scrambling but first in driving accuracy and putting. I have only made the cut in 3 out of I think 7 tourneys so far but am 3rd in money thanks to...

Re: Season Play Results

@Indy - believe me, I am editing the course conditions. I would stand no chance unless things were at the simplest of settings. I decided, through thick and thin, that I would keep the pros where they were at. if I only make a few cuts and make some money then so be it. I will probably dumb them dow...

Re: Season Play Results

I made my first cut! At the TPC Scottsdale course. I finished dead last and missed the cut 3 out of my first 4 tourneys. Then I opened with a 10 under at Scottsdale...of course I ended up 28th with an overall score of -11 as the conditions worsened. But, hey, I made some money! These 2011 pros are j...

Re: Contest Course Judging

Sent my votes to Dar this morning. Took me a bit to play them all. I won't speak to my votes outside of saying one of the courses was one of my favorite ones to play in a long time. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Re: PGA 2K year in review

My top 5 favorites from this year: Cades Cove - just beautiful. HARD! Who picked this dog track - Sorry, guilty pleasure. sometimes you just need a good laugh and a ridiculous course. TPC - Sawgrass - I live by it, go there often and wanted a new version. Old course @ St. Andrews - Just fun to play....

Re: Favorite Robert@ course.

So, because of this thread, I went out and d/l'ed Stranglehold. Now, just a little background, I have never a been a huge fan of Robert's courses not because they aren't excellently done, but more-so because they are nearly impossible for me to break par. The same holds true with Stranglehold but, I...

Re: Members and new members introduce yourself

Hello - my name is Ron. As my screen name suggests, I live in Jacksonville Fl after moving down here from Baltimore in 2004 to get more sunshine and golf in. I have played this golf sim since the day it was released. I have never played any other sim. I went through about 6 years where I stopped pla...
