Hi Guys,

just played my first round at Merion.

This course is a monster! No wonder they have held so many US Majors here. Some of the Par 4's are absolutely brutal, where par is a good score. Some of the Par 3's are just as difficult. I played as well as I could and struggled (and that was in mild winds!). I wasn't helped by three shots that hit the hole and didn't fall in.

I will be interested to see how you all go.

Hi Guys,

just discovered why my Rd 1 was so hard. I played my Chicken Challenge player by mistake, where my skill levels are set at 15-15-0-0-0. I will replay my round with the correct player.

Hi Guys,

here's my Rd 3 at Quinto Do Lago. Didn't hit the ball all that well at times, but my putter saved me again. I left myself further away from the hole than I wanted on many occasions, given the mild winds, but 17 one-putts, including a one-putt eagle on 12, and one two putt for a birdie on the 2nd, helped me get a very satisfactory score.

I've D/L Merion three separate times but it shows Hugh Wilson as the designer in lieu of John Bernard. Do I have the wrong course?

Hi Steve,

Hugh Wilson was the actual designer of Merion Golf Club in 1912. You have the correct version.
