Round 3. PB2002 is a real GBC masterpiece.

Hi Guys,

played my Rd 3 at Pebble Beach against Tarheel's and must agree, this is a wonderful rendition. But, you would expect nothing less from a master like Terry Armstrong. Not surprisingly, it was another close contest, particularly in the Handicap and Stableford events.

Thanks for posting your round Brad.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

here's my Rd 4 at Pebble Beach. I really enjoyed this round. The combination of strong winds and red tees made for some interesting choices, as it brought a lot of the Par 4's within tee shot range, but with a lot of calculation required to hit the green in one. I didn't get it right once but, got close enough to have short approach shots, bringing up birdie opportunities. All the Par 5's were reachable in two, so, if you play the wind well, you can score well off these settings. We should play strong winds and red tees more often.

Cheers

First round at Spyglass. Lovely course with great terrain. I did have one unfortunate hole. PW found the par 3 15th green but then proceeded to roll off into the water hazard. Ugh!

Hi Guys,

just watched Galen's first round at Spyglass Hill. A really consistent round, which could have been quite a few shots better, had some of his longer putts fallen in, instead of just grazing the hole. He was unfortunate to have his ball screw back into the water on 15, but played a brilliant recover to restrict the damage to one shot and then finished off with three consecutive birdies.

Galen, unfortunately that one bogey cost you a share of the lead in both the Handicap and Stableford events for Rd 1, but it shows how well you are playing at the moment.

Cheers

Round 3 at Pebble Beach. One of Terry's best.

Hi Guys,

Juan has finished his rounds at Silver Lake, so I can now post the results for that tournament.

As they say, "Every picture tells a story." the shots below show that, while many of the rounds were close, the new kid on the block featured in every round and then blew us all away in Rd 4.

So, please put your hands together for our Tournament Champion, Sundance!

Well played Steve.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Guys,

just watched Galen's Rd 3 at Pebble Beach. I told you he was playing well and the stats prove it. 12 out of 14 fairways hit and 15 out of 18 GIR. Now, those sorts of figures give you plenty of birdie opportunities and Galen took most of them. One small lapse of concentration on Hole 10 led to a three-putt, but seven birdies and a par on a Par 3 was a lovely way to bring it home. Great round, Galen!

As a reward for your good play, Galen you have the honour of selecting our next courses and conditions.

Hopefully, Juan will find some time to catch up on his outstanding rounds, as we are all pulling away from him by quite a bit.

Below is some progress information as at the end of our third tournament (closing at Silver Lake).

As you can see, Sundance has taken advantage of his starting handicaps, but it is beginning to rise steeply, which will start making his task a little harder each tournament.

Cheers
