I'm going to start practicing and see how I do. Dropped down from very fast to fast and it seems like slow motion. Sidebar: I really suck at this slower speed but think it might help me playing here with winds which I'm not used to. When I play test my courses it's always on normal conditions so this will be a work in progress.

Glad to have you as another Old Timer, Steve. As I've said, it doesn't matter how good you are, as the handicap system evens it all out.

Cheers

I've always preferred fast setting. In the old days, I couldn't do very fast because of a jumping meter problem that was bad enough on fast. On this machine everything is smooth, but I stick with the fast.

Round 3 at Riverdale. I had to club down on nearly every hole and most holes obscured one's view of the landing zone. It's different and challenging. Round 4 from the black is going to be interesting.

Tarheel, I've always used very fast but never played JN6 competitively so going to fast might help but I use the 3 click method and muscle memory keeps taking over on the third click so I'm constantly pulling left. Also, am always looking at the course instead of concentrating on the shot which is another drawback. LOL Hopefully I can get my schedule to the point of joining you guys. We'll see.

Steve,

if you're constantly pulling left, aim right! ;)

No charge for the lesson!

Cheers

Brad

PS: I only use medium swing speed and still manage to keep up with Tarheel on most occasions.

Brad, just really struggling with the slower speed. I've played the very fast since I started with JN6. Don't even know how many years that is but I did start much later than most designers. I'll get there if I can find time to practice and then you'll have to explain the rules and setup for me.

Final round at Riverdale. The par fives are nefarious! For a challenge and overall design grade I give this course an A. For resemblance to real courses I give it a D-. For my putting this round I give myself an F.

Hi Guys, just watched Galen's Rds 2 and 3. I think his own comments sum these rounds up pretty well. Both of these rounds, particularly Rd 4 could have been so much better, had his putter not deserted him on several occasions.

Cheers

I seem to have a new problem. For some reason, my JN6 is not auto-saving .round files. This just started this week. The box is checked to auto-record rounds. If anyone has a moment, play a round at "Bergamo L'albenza" and see if it will save your round. Wondering if its just something strange about that course.
