If I haven't heard from Juan by Friday (his last post was 24 December), I will close out the 2024 season. In that eventuality, it will pass to Tarheel to select our courses and conditions for the start of the 2025 season.

Hi Guys,

just watched Galen's final round for the 2024 season. Very solid effort, that could easily have been a few shots better, with two approaches going very close to eagle and a few putts grazing the hole or lipping out.

One more day for Juan to get in touch before I close the 2024 season.

Galen and Tarheel, I would like your opinions on the Champion Golfer of the Year awards. While we three have played all 48 rounds, Juan has (so far) played 31 and Randy 25. Should they be considered for the annual awards?

Brad, how many games per week would you have to play to join this?

Hi Steve,

there are no time requirements for playing rounds, so you just play them when you have time. Obviously, it is appreciated if you can keep close to the other players. Last year we played a total of 48 rounds, so that worked out to about one per week, not an onerous task.

As we have people of different playing abilities, we do not have a Stroke event, but base our competition on Handicap and Stableford scores only. The handicap system we have in place is basically the same as real golf and has proven to make scoring fair and close in most instances.

We rotate through all players as to the selection of courses and conditions, so everybody gets involved.

If you are thinking of joining, I would love to have you on-board. Just let me know, so I can amend the scoring spreadsheet.

PS: If you could talk Randy into coming back to the tour that would be great. I've written to him four times and just don't get any response.

good to hear from you. I thought you may have given up on the tour. So glad you haven't!

The rounds I don't have files for, from oldest to newest are:
Angel River Rds 3 and 4
Pine Needles Rds 1 and 2
Pine Valley Rds 3 and 4
Kittery Point Rds 1 and 2
Kaapse Rebel Rds 3 and 4
Eagles Nest Wilderness Rd 4
Hollow Trails Rds 1 and 2
Sleeping Bear Downs Rds 3 and 4
Cochise Rd 2
Castle Pines Rd 4

All the conditions for these rounds you can find on the forum. I will keep the 2024 season open until you tell me when you are finished playing 2024 rounds.

In the meantime, it is your turn to select the first courses and conditions for 2025.
