Re: JNSE Courses
Hopefully someone backed up the database of jnse courses and installation files. I think they got lost during the summer crash. I stopped playing it when I discovered JN6 so long ago ago don’t have any.

Re: JNSE Courses
While I would LOVE to play with tarheel and some of the other great JN6 guys here, the last time I played JN5 (which I'm guessing has similar gameplay to JN6) I shot a 107 on a par 71 course. I know improvement would come with practice, but it would take a lot more practice than I have time for to get competitive with the guys that play here and my computer golf time should generally be fun (always frustration if you don't play up to your capabilities). Therefore, I stick to playing JNSE.
I have a Royal Troon (took it from one of the links below) but I don't know if it's the version you mentioned.
There are a few others still playing JNSE. If you want to play against some other people, check out http://pwp-tour.000webhostapp.com/ as we try to play the courses the pros are playing each week (or make some good substitutions). The course files are posted for each week so you might find some fun courses to play there even if you want to stick to playing by yourself. Before our wonderful JN6 friends joined us here, we were going to have a big archive of courses for JNSE on this forum as well as Fred Hanser, the one who runs the above site, has a lot of courses saved, but has not quite finished cataloguing everything to post (which may have been a good thing given the crash tarheel mentioned).
As far as additional courses go, here are some good resources for you besides downloading courses from the above site:
The first three items in the JNSE section from Brian's Golf Course Design Resource page (Brian is the one that created this forum) - http://www.zagerdesign.com/golf_design/links.htm. I love Brian Silvernail's courses and there are a number of courses available in the archived Ben Wicks site (hover over links and look for the ones with a link of www.onion.com/libs/golf).
Chicago Computer Broker – Games 1994 – http://cd.textfiles.com/ccbgames1994/golf/
PC GAMES TO THE MAX (1993) : GOLF RELATED – http://cd.textfiles.com/maxx/tothemaxpc ... index.html and http://cd.textfiles.com/maxx/tothemaxpc ... index.html

Shareware Extravaganza 4 (4 Discs) – The Best of PC-Ohio BBS (1994) – http://cd.textfiles.com/swextrav4/swextrav4-2/gmgolf/
Best of luck creating your own library of courses that you enjoy! Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

I don't recall the Course Depot having JNSE course for download. It's been so long ago that the site is now closed so I can't check for you. All thou I have a story for you about the Course Depot. It was set up and managed by a teenager named Jeremy Silva. Back in the 90s a traveled quite a bit for work. So he lived in California at the time and I was within about a 3 hour drive from where he lived. So I took a drive on a Sunday and met him and his father. We played a round of real golf that day.

Re: JNSE Courses
That's a neat story Roy. I never actually met Jeremy but we used to talk to each other all the time and when I found out how old he was it shocked me. We even collaborated on a course or two if I'm not mistaken.
Re: JNSE Courses
Steve I also met Mike New when I was on a trip to Vancouver Canada. We played JNSE and he showed me around town and we drove to see a golf course.

Re: JNSE Courses
I don't get a private message back on this forum. Okay, that's fine with me. Keep all those jnse courses for yourself and your friends. I'm done with it. (
