Cookies?
I was wondering if there were more cookies in PGA2000?
The reason I ask is, today when playing my 2nd round at Innisbrook (I like to play along with the pros in both Links2003 an PGA2000 on those weekends where the Real and Virtual courses match up), and on the 5th hole I had the honour and hit it down the centre of the fairway. As often happens with the idiosyncratic nature of PGA2000 the in flight camera view of the next players shot showed me standing in the middle of the fairway next to my ball. The 2nd player (one of the two ani-buddies I was playing along with) hit his ball on the same trajectory as I did and it landed about 10 yds behind me and bounced up and hit me in the head. As one might expect under the circumstances my player went down like a brick, in a shower of exclamation marks, number, @ and pound signs. Absolutely hilarious! Naturally, because the next shot automatically was my other ani-buddy, when my turn came again I was good to go, like nothing had happened. Has anybody else encountered anything like this in this game? I remember TW2007 had many interesting and humorous cookies, but I have not previously encountered any in Links2003 or PGA2000.
Cheers, Dave

Re: Cookies?
Dave, I would have loved to have seen that! I didn't know the ball would bounce off of another golfer. In TW 2012 and 2013 on Xbox 360, I have hit both men and women in the groin and saw them collapse afterwards!

Dave! I've never seen or heard of that happing in PGA2000 before. There's a couple of things you can imput on the keyboard but I can't remember how. Hopefully someone else will respond and tell you how to get the sea monster to pop up after hitting in the water. Also I think you may be able to get your golfer to fly like hes the ball.

Re: Cookies?
I've never heard of that one either and I thought I knew everything about this game after 13 years.
You type yay on your keyboard before you swing to get the player to become the ball. I don't remember how you get the sea monster.

bryce: Just think about what you said, I'm assuming you mean "I didn't know the ball would bounce of another golfer ...... in this game".bryce wrote:Dave, I would have loved to have seen that! I think there are many doctors and nurses that will confirm that in real life, not only will a golf ball bounce off someone, it can also imbed into someone. Sometimes that might even be their skull.
Fortunately most golfers brains are in their butts; so, if they get hit in the head, they can continue to play and generally function normally.
Pretty well what happened to the "Virtual Me" in this game. Gee! Maybe PGA2000 is more realistic than I could ever have imagined.

Re: Cookies?
First, place yourself next to a water feature (lake, river...). If you type in YAY then chip a ball in the water, the sea monster pops up for a few seconds and looks at you. It looks a little like the creature from the black lagoon.BrianZ111 wrote: I don't remember how you get the sea monster.
Re: Cookies?
it's not YAY. That sends the guy flying.

Re: Cookies?
Yes. Typing YAY then chipping in the water works (golfer also flies).ADC wrote:it's not YAY. That sends the guy flying.
But you can get the same result by just typing Y alone (golfer doesnt fly).

I didn't know about the YAY, until I read this thread and then quickly checked it out. LOL!

Re: Cookies?
I know there's a shorter way but I've forgotten it. Anyway if you type in "billmurraycaddyshack" the golfer will fly. However, it'll also change certain settings like clubs, so type it in first then go back to check that your settings are correct.
