You probably are already aware. Guess I wanted to really say thank you for your work Dar and Brian. It seems I can forget how much you do to maintain the site until something like this occurs. Thanks for your efforts and work guys

Yes we seem to have had an influx of spammers the last few days. I may have to modify the registration process with a harder question or a captcha.

Also don't forget Stan, he's helping out with deleting spam too.

I deleted 14 posts yesterday and it looks like more today, Brian.

In fact, if you check the new members from page 10 thru 14 you will find various websites that are commercial.

It might be prudent to check all new members websites before allowing posts.

Captcha is a great idea.

I've deleted all the users that joined since 11-15-2012 when this outbreak started. If anyone legitimate joined since then, you'll have to re-register. I also reduced the number of attempts allowed to answer the question when registering. Hopefully that will be enough to keep it in check.

Well that didn't work so I've changed up the security questions to something a little harder. If this doesn't work I’ll try a captcha. Hopefully we don’t have to go to moderators approving new users before they can post.
