Hi,
My name is Pete, I've been enjoying this wonderful program for quite a few years now, but have a problem.
I haven't played for at least 12months, and having purchased a new computer, running Vista, I'm having problems re loading my courses into the PGA2000 directory.

I have many courses in my PGA2000 directory on another hard drive, but they won't install, I've tried to put them into the courses folder and the bin folder, not having any luck, could you please help.

Regards,
Pete

Pete,
Glad to help, but I need some more details about your installation.
-what media did you use to install the game software? CDs?
-what version of PGA2000 did you install? Standard, CE, TI?
-Did you select "full" install?
-Did the install appear to go to normal completion?
-did you apply the 3.3.4.5 patch?
-does the course manager come up ok?

-What is this other drive? Is it an external hard drive? Internal hard drive you moved from the old system?

Thanks Dar for your quick reply,

I used an external drive, standard version CD x 2, I installed on to the external hard drive,
The game installed and played OK but I can't load other courses.
The course manager comes up, but doesn't list any courses or libraries.
I don't know about the 3.3.4.5 patch?

Maybe I should have installed to the primary C drive?
I will try that first and then install courses and libraries from the external drive, I'll give it a try now.

Regards,
Pete

The patch 3.3.4.5 is available for download in the Utilities area. After installing the main game software, you should install that patch.

This sounds like we have a registry confusion. PGA is not finding your courses/libs.

I think your approach of installing to the primary C is correct. Lets see how that goes.

IIRC correctly another of our players tried putting his courses on an external drive and it didn't work for him, so he ended up putting them on his "c" drive. I won't see him again until tomorrow afternoon; if you're still having problems I'll ask him about it.
