Getting attachments to appear as images in post
Hi Guys,
can someone please explain to me how you get a .jpeg file to appear as an image in a post, instead of just as an attachment shortcut?
Thanks
Brad

I have used .gif files (but maybe the same process works for .jpg), and I use the upload like you are doing, but then in my text in forum I use the image button (above) and insert in it the internet location of the .gif I just uploaded. (I right click on the .gif to get the web location to use)

Thanks Brad, I'll give it a try.

Video here:

Post an image from your computer as shown in the video. Unfortunately the video does not show the window that pops up when you go to attachments and click Add. It takes you to your computer (desktop, I think) and you can search for your image. I had mine on the desktop. When I clicked on Add, it placed the file name in the box for attachments to create a link. This produces the link to your photo which you can then place inline, but it does not put the image in your post.
Click on the image link above. In the bar just above this white box, there is an image box (9th from the left, looks like a postcard). Click on that and it inserts [img][img]. Then go down to your attachment, right click on the file name and "copy link address". Then go back up to [img][img] and insert that link directly in the center of the 2 brackets. [img]HERE[img]. Hit Submit.
For some reason, everything I did in the video will not post here; maybe too much going on. So I will post that separately below.

Thanks Charlie.
Re: Getting attachments to appear as images in post
Out of curiosity, what course is this? Thanks.
Re: Getting attachments to appear as images in post
Excellent course, Charlie. Especially for your first effort. I have some of your courses and they are all excellent. I like how the nice background fits in so well with your textures on the course. Nice eye candy with the castle, lighthouse, fences, heather, etc. All around, a beautiful fun course to play.

Thanks, Chuck. You are too kind. Glad you are enjoying Cuchulainn!
It was my first links course, but I had designed The Raven and Chickamauga (in that order) before attempting a links course. Those helped because I became more proficient with the designer. As I recall, Cuchulainn represents my first effort to create my own horizon/background.
