Spaulding89! There are several things you can try. Is this happening on every shot? First try moving your golfer at the tee by holding the shift button and using the mouse. Check how your settings are by right clicking on your desktop and selecting personalize. Then under the background settings in the lower portion (windows 10) choose fit not stretch. If that doesn't work you can go into your control panel and change your display settings from 1920x1080 to another. Hope this helps.

Are you using this as a second monitor? I know the game has issue with that and when you run multiple monitors you have to play the game on the one that is set as the primary monitor in windows. Other then that I can't think of anything. I've had a 1920x1080 monitor for years and it plays with no issue. I may have had to adjust the camera angle a little for the wide screen but no swing issues. Has anything else changed? Sounds more like a mouse issue. Or maybe your player got switched from vertical swing to horizontal or vice versa. That's all I can think of.

Most monitors these days are rectangular. For best viewing, you should select a screen resolution that is roughly in proportion to your screen size.
For example, I have a 24" monitor (measured diagonally). The width is about 21" and height is about 12". The ratio of
width to height is 21/12= 1.75 A screen resolution setting of 1360x768 pixels gives me about the same ratio... 1360/768=1.77... almost perfect.

To set this up, simply right-click on your desktop, click on properties then settings. Use the slider bar to select the resolution you want.

Hi guys - thanks for the advice - you know i think BrianZ might have hit on it - i forgot that i changed over to an optical mouse- maybe that's the problem? I've been fiddling with the mouse pointer speeds but i still can't make a swing without my golfer falling over. Anyone have any ideas?

Spaulding89! Like Brian said did you check to see if your using horizontal or vertical swing in your settings for the mouse in the game settings? I'm assuming you use the truswing method. You can check by selecting your player then hit the edit player button under the picture. Then select what method of swing you use in the ability section near the top. Hope this helps

I'd bet it's your mouse. Optical mice are bad for these games. They lag on fast movements like a golf swing. Do you still have your old mouse to try and see if that's it? You'll probably have to either upgrade to a laser mouse or go back to an old school ball mouse for use with the game.

Update: after some more fiddling... unplugged new giant monitor/repacked in original box for store return/ put back old monitor/ fired up PGA Championship Golf... and everything is back to normal. So this was not an optical mouse issue. thank you all for the input. I'm happy again. for a minute i thought i would be stuck playing links 2003 - that's a soul-less experience in comparison
