As a boy in West Virginia, Sam Snead would sneak onto golf courses and play in his bare feet. He later credited barefoot golf for his remarkably balanced swing.

There will never be a show man like Chi Chi. He almost always made it look like he was having fun and his signature sword in scavern move after a big putt made.

A broken left elbow as a child prevented Calvin Peete from fully extending his left arm as an adult. Despite the problem, Peete was the PGA Tour's most accurate driver for 10 consecutive years from 1981 to 1990.

OK ! How many people besides me remember Calvin Peete. I believe they would'nt let him play at the Masters at one time

Lee Elder was the first black invited to the Masters in 1975. No black has been barred since.
Peete qualified from 1980 to 1987 and played in all of them . His best finish was T11 in 1986.
