It is very difficult for me to have an opinion based on small screenshots, perhaps it would be best if Steve decides which looks best in the designer app?
For example I think I was involved in asking Daniel from the Links community to share his backgrounds with us, but when I put them in the GBC designer they looked huge and dominated the screen more than I wanted. Especially if we have decided to do a links design, where the horizon should be less dominating in my opinion.

I vote for Links 3 at the top of Page 6.

I like Charlie's Highlands pano but would like to see what Steve can make of his Links 3 image before I vote.

Highlands 1 Note: not keen on Highlands as it is the same scenery repeatedly pasted together to create a total BG. Just my opinion.
Links 3 1 and 1 maybe Note: This BG is complete with sky but I haven't created a texture set for it yet. They would need to blend with the BG

I like sea scape 2. All of them are great backgrounds, though.

I like Links3 a lot. When I think "links course," my first thought is a tree-less seaside dunescape with rolling terrain and pot bunkers...i.e., the Old Course at St. Andrews. I'm good with whatever the group decides, though!
