Hi Guys,
watched Juan's Rd 4 at Hibiknomori last night. His usually solid driver deserted him early in his round, leaving him in some very awkward positions for his approaches to the green. However, he responded brilliantly, keeping bogeys off his card. Then, on Hole 12 he got a fantastic eagle with a "banana ball" of a putt from long distance. His driving improved on the back nine, leading to a very respectable score for the round.
I also watched Galen's Rd 3 at Silver Lake against Sundance's Rd 3. Overall, there wasn't much in it, but Galen's longer drives gave him the opportunity to put his approach shots closer to the pin and his putter did the rest. I really enjoy watching you two slug it out.
Finally, I played my 3rd Round at Apache Stand against Sundance's. This is a really interesting course! One minute you're surrounded by desert scrub and the next, by groves of pine trees. Add to this the fact that the greens don't have any fringes and your approaches need to be even more accurate than usual. Overall, I liked the course and I can honestly say that the back nine is far more challenging than the front nine. Really good Handicap and Stableford contests between Steve and me, with Steve just coming out on top. However, his good form did cost him another shot on his handicap, so that made me feel a little better.
Cheers
Brad

Hi Guys,
you've probably noticed that Tarheel hasn't played any rounds of late and that is why I haven't posted any results. As an inaugural member of the tour, I think it is only fair that I give Brad as much time as is needed for him to catch up. He has indicated that he has some things going on in his "real world", as we all do from time to time. I trust that you agree with my decision.
Thanks
Brad

Hi Guys,
just played against Sundance's Rd 4 at Apache Stand. As he said, beware of the dodgy tees. Steve played a very solid round, despite one bogey and promptly kicked my butt in both the Handicap and Stableford events. Well played mate!
As we haven't heard from Tarheel, I will be selecting the next courses and conditions. I've got a couple of beauties in mind.
Cheers
Brad

I'm thrilled to think I might be a worthy opponent so soon. Thanks Brad!

Enjoy it while it lasts, Steve. It's going to get harder and harder as you get better, and those early big scores get replaced by much lower ones.

When Tarheel catches up, I will show you a graph of everybody's handicaps and you will see how much yours has fluctuated as you build up the number of rounds you have played.
Cheers
Brad

Hi Guys,
we are absolutely powering through the tournaments this year. For our next challenges I have selected two courses from John Carlton, a designer who really knows how to build a golf course. I am sure you will all enjoy the beauty and challenge of both of these gems.
