Re: 'Alainn Tr'aigh Links
Started on overheads. Of course I'm limited at this point but here's a quick peek at Hole #1 overhead. Just a yay or nay.

Looks good, Steve.

Big time yay on that overhead!! Really nice!
Re: 'Alainn Tr'aigh Links
Thanks for responding guys. I'll go with this style then which I thought was very nice for our design.

Initial construction on hole 17 is underway. I was lucky this year to play a few Seth Raynor courses (Yale, Sleepy Hollow and Yeamans Hall) and drawing inspiration from those rounds, the 17th at Aliann Tr'aigh Links will be a "Biarritz" hole, one of the template holes that CB Macdonald and Raynor are famous for.
If you'd like to read more about the Biarritz template hole, here's a good article from the Fried Egg website: https://thefriedegg.com/biarritz-template-hole/
Here's what the 9th at Yale looks like from the tee... that's me getting ready to close my eyes and hope for the best!

So that is how a Biarritz green looks like in real life? I did one in Gator Alley that I helped you finish Jeff. Glad you are doing this the right way now lol. How long is the distance to the pin here? I suppose the approach cant be too long to be able to stop before running down and away
My version in GBC was like 200 yards to the first part before the chasm, but with fairway to land at, looks much easier than in your photo.
