Stafan! Haven't played Johanne in a long time. Next time I play a practice round I'll give it a go. But basicly I trust your judgement. I might say I like this hole or that hole but not crazy about this hole sort of comment.

I would be glad to play a few more rounds on Johanne and give you some feedback. I warn you though - I do not know how to make the architect do the things you can make it do already

Update:

I've made the first couple of changes by now.

Biggest change is on the 18th. As it is now it just doesn't ply as I intented it - I want the player to be able to cut the corner with a well placed drive, so I've removed some of the trees to open up for the tee shot.

I've also redesigned the landing area for the drive on the 7th - also to give the player a chance to cut the corner.

Then I've slightly reduced the height differnece between the fairway and the green on the 16th - I still want the green to be high above the fairway, but it's a bit extreme as it is now so I've reduced the difference about 10 feet.

Last thing I've altered is the landing area for the drive on the 12th which has been made a bit larger.

That's it for now.

I'm hoping to hear from some of you. I'll listen to all kinds of suggestions - be they from a players perspective or a designers. And it doesn't have to be a detailed description - just a quick "I hate everything on hole 2 to 18" or something like that. I wont promise to impement all your suggestions though

OK but remember you asked for it. lol 6th hole front right I thought was a bit to crowned along with the back pin location on the 8th hole. Personal preference. I will say I liked the slope and movement on the greens, very well done. On the driveable par 4 14th hole I got the pin in the middle of the green on a small plateau. On both sides of the plateau ; front and back I thought the slope was a little to much. I agree with you on the 16th hole about lowering the green some. Suggestion about maybe lowering area in front of the greenside bunkers to bring them into view from the fairway. 17th hole maybe raise the fairway just past the fairway bunkers to see the lake a little better and on the 2nd section of fairway about 125 from the green maybe raise it a couple of feet to see the lake and define the greenside bunkers more. That's all I've got. I did play on dry greens, but I like fast greens with a lot of break. Well done on your course BTW.

I'll take your thoughts into consideration. I'll especially look into the idea of lowering the area to the front right of the 16th green to make the green bunkers visible - I like that idea.

Sorry this has taken so long. Have been extremely busy. I love the bunkering and the green sites. I think the terrain is kind of barren in spots - the plantings could be increased. I think the layout has some solid strategic elements to it. I think the textures are excellent. I hope this helps. I played several rounds on the course and enjoyed myself quite a lot - not much that I would change, other than some more plantings to blend the panorama in better.

I worked a bit on the 6th and 16th the last few days - nothing big, just minor changes. I've also added another panorama and another greentexture (with slightly more spin).

I agree with you sandwedge that the course looks a bit barren at places. This is the next thing I'll loook into.

After a long time I actually took time today to finish the course - it's being uploaded as I type this.
