Some bad news

Post by ADC »

Hey, all

I got the news today that my grandmother will likely pass away in the next few days. It is very sudden, though not entirely unexpected. Essentially, her body is just...done. She keeps slipping in and out of lucidity, and her body has stopped accepting the blood transfusions that have been keeping her going the past two years.

Please keep her in your prayers,

Alex.

Alex,
It is very hard to lose a loved one. No matter how well you prepare for it, it is still a shock when it happens.
Our hearts go out to you and your family. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I can't say much more than the others. I lost my dad a year ago in February. He was 84 and ready; up to the last 6 months of his life he was a vital active man but his cancer finally began winning the battle. Although I know he's in a better place I still miss him almost every day. No, you're never prepared to lose those you love and who have brought so much to your life. Just think of the good times, the laughs and fun you had with Grandma; it does make it easier.

Thank you, all, for the prayers. It means a lot.

I have no clue how often I'll be online in the next week or so, but thanks. You will all be in my prayers as well.
