PC Troubles

Must be the time of year but I am now experiancing my bi-annual bout of PC woes.
I downloaded version 10 of I tunes, as recommended by the on-screen prompt, went to restart the PC, and blam, darn thing won't restart.
Only way I can get it going in starting in safe mode, and then doing a system restore, which obviously deletes anything I have done since the last time I got the thing to work.
I have read on the internet that there have been a lot of problems with this download, but thats too late for me now!
Also can't un-install and re-install an earlier version for said above reasons, each time I system restore it forgets what I've done, and I also get error messages saying I can't mix old and new versions etc. Not worried about the I tunes though, my main concern is getting the PC back to normal.
Come on all you PC nerds, help a fellow out?

Sounds like it might be a virus. What is your primary virus software?
Have you run any cleanup software like Superantispyware or Malware bytes?

Think I've fixed it Dar.
Did another system restore and then deleted I tunes and re-installed, everything seems to be working for now, just lost all my I tunes tracks. Can't face putting them all back on again just yet!
