G'day, can someone help me with this problem?
After many years I fired up PGA 2000 Golf and tried to connect to the internet.
The error message was
WON validation server is not responding.
Does the Won server still work or maybe I am doing something wrong?
Any help appreciated
Cheers
Harry

Re: WON server
Harry,
My, it has been a while. The WON server has been out of operation since March, 2007.
A few people still play online using Kali as their game server, but it requires you to have Windows XP or lower to do it. Kali uses the IPX packet protocol. IPX is not supported under Windows Vista or Windows 7.

Re: WON server
Thanks for the reply.
What do online golfers use now?
I have tried Tiger Woods Online but that is continuous downloading even though they say no download required.

Re: WON server
Tiger Woods was the evil idea of EA sports who didnt like the idea of sierra having a game better than thiers, then comes the real shocker, the first version of Tiger Woods contained 97% of the PGA Championship golf files they had bought the game from SIerra.
With a bit of fiddling with settings in it you play online IP to IP using it and Sierras version.
Personally I was disgusted. to say the least.
