That's the only reason I can think of, Dave.
Thanks Judy, you are correct. As a test ,I set up a 1 Tournament Season (4 rounds at Muirfield for this weekend). Unfortunately, the game forces my real player to play at "Advanced Ability Level" at least when the 2011 PGA tour players are selected as opponents. It appears for this particular season, certain play "options" are preselected by PGA2000 and the selections cannot be changed. As I mentioned previously, in one thread the click meter is so fast above "Standard" that my fastest second click catches the swing bar halfway back down which results in a whiff. I dropped out of the Tourney and let the round complete, and I could see when checking the Leaderboard, that the players "positions" were listed. So at least the "Position" issue is resolved.
I have determined I can play a season at "Standard" if I choose the Amateur roster. So I'm wondering how difficult it would be to use the 2011 PGA players as an amateur roster. I could sort of play a selective PGA Season and maybe I could check off most of the other pro requirements and leave the ability level unchecked. Then, I could just manually keep track of the virtual "winnings" based on the typical positional payoffs provided each Monday on line.
Thanks again for your patience and input on this matter.
Cheers, Dave

Dave! You can edit your season and remove the Advanced abilty and tournament tees if you so desire. Heres how. Enter PGA 2000 press play golf then click edit season followed by the next button. On the left highlight the season you would like to edit and press edit. (You can only edit tournaments that you have not started.) Next highlight the event you want to edit and click the edit event button. You will also see 2 other buttons ADD EVENT (Which means exactly as stated) and remove event. After clicking the edit event button highlight the 1st round and click the edit button again. This brings up the game settings menu. Under the play catagory you'll see the advanced abilty just remove the x from the box. Also you may want to remove the x from " all golfers play from the tournament tees ". You will have to repeat this process for each round of the tournament before you exit. You can add or remove cuts from the (set rounds menu) if you so desire. Highlight the round then click the add cut button. Be careful as to which round you highlight before doing this. Any tourney can be edited in the same way I just listed.

Thanks for the info Steve. I went back and recreated a season covering this months Tournaments with the correct courses, purses, cuts etc., and I noticed (if one is paying attention - which I initially wasn't) you can set/choose all the parameters as you create each round. Today I'm going to start the Memorial again and see how that works out. Later on, if I feel ambitious I may create a full 2011 PGA Season and start playing the full year all the way through.
Cheers, Dave

Dave, if you choose to continue your "season" into July, be sure and set your events (or at least AN event) before you play the final event you have scheduled. Otherwise after you complete the last event it locks down that season and you can't add more to it. At least that's what happened to me a couple of years ago.
