After you've clicked on Shift+S to bring up your scorecard, above your name (and fellow competitors if you have them) you'll find a tab marked "leaderboard." This will bring up your current tourney result. You can also sort the leaderboard in various ways by clicking on name (alphabetical sort), team (first to last start) score and check out f9 or b9 scorecard.

Sorry Judy I guess I didn't make it clear. I was talking about the Leader Board in the previous post. I just assumed , because the post that started this thread was a graphic of the Leader Board (and my position thereon), that readers would realize that I was talking about the Leader Board when referring to rankings. To clarify, when I refer to ranking I mean #'s 1 to 125 (if there are that many players competing). The default Leaderboard lists the players by score in relation to par (-7 thru to +2 in the first round I completed - if a player scrolls all the way through to the end as well as cumulative score), and also provides numerous other "sorts" of limited value, but, to reiterate I could not discover a way to find my ranking or consequently sort by it. As an example (universally typical of score postings world wide):
Tourney: Byron Nelson Classic @ Las Calinos First Sample Round Scoring Example - Leader Board Page 1:

RANK ----- NAME ----- SCORE
___________________________

1st----- Matt Kuchar.... -7
-------- Ricky Barns..... -7
3rd---- Tom Lehman... -6
-------- Bill Hayes ...... -6
-------- Fred Couples... -6
6th---- Indy Jones...... -5
-------- Chad Campbell. -5
8th---- Stillgolfing...... -4

In the game, at the completion of the third round of my 72 hole Byron Nelson Classic, I can see on the Leader Board that the leaders are at -15 (5 players) and thus I can assume the next 15 players listed (at -14) are tied for 6th, but I had to figure that out myself, and that becomes more difficult as you scroll down the leader board. I'm in at -9 tied with about 12 others but where we rank, who knows? I'm too tired to keep doing the math! :)
Hope this clarifies my issue. Thanks for following up, Dave

Dave! Here's how you can check your tourney. Open PGA. Click stats, click the season button on the left. Then at the top click the little arrow by the season and pick your catagory. Next near the bottom click on the event history button. Then click the little arrow by players name under the season column. Scroll to your name and all events that you completed (NO MISSED CUTS) will be listed. It gives you the position you finished in, all scores shot for each round and money won. Hope this helped. Fill free to play around in the stats area trying different buttons. Some interesting stats exspeically when its been keeping them for a while.

Thanks Steve for the info. If you remember, you mentioned I should have included this thread in the Seasonal Play thread even though it was the 1st of several one off Tourney's I was planning to play, opposite the real PGA Tourney's, where the course or Tourney interested me, (to get more familiar with the game and it's features). Now I know that the Leaderboard does not provide round and complete Tourney rankings, and the detailed ranking stats are associated with Seasonal Play, I may rethink that strategy.
Cheers, Dave

Byron Nelson Classic - Final Results

Post by stillgolfing »

Boo Weekly won in a playoff over Bo VanPelt. Included below is a graphic of the Top Scores. I can't tell you where I finished as it appears from several previous posts to this thread, that info is not readily available. I did finish at -12, but where that ranks me will forever remain a mystery. :bg:

Dave! I'm not exactly sure what mode your playing in viewing the leaderboard you posted. There's a team column which I'm really not familar with and I also see that you are using the 72 hole mode which I never use. This could be (I"m not sure)the reason you couldn't figure out where you stood at the end of the tourney. I've always used the 18 hole configeration when playing a tourney. Using the 72 hole mode may be the only way to play 4 rounds of tourney play without using the season mode. I'm not sure about that though.

Thanks for mentioning this Steve. Maybe there is different style Leaderboards depending on the Game Mode. I will play a "practice round" at Muirfield tonight against the field and see what that Leaderboard looks like. As I mentioned in my other thread it seems strange that the Game Designers did not provide for a rank/position column. but added something called 'Team".

Steve;
I just completed my "practice round" at Muirfield (one round tourney mode). The Leaderboard was the same (no "Position" column noted).
Interestingly 2 players were tied for the lead at -12 and I was tied at -2 with 30 other players for last place. Since I played my brains out lat weekend and shot -12 for 72 holes and finished tied for 44th, I guess when the Tourney actually starts, I shouldn't be thinking about playing on the weekend. :bg:

I figure that the reason there's no tourney result (ranking) posted is that as far as the game is concerned, you're NOT playing a "sanctioned" tournament (apparently reserved for season play mode) but instead are only playing 4 continual rounds of golf vs X number of players.

That's the only reason I can think of, Dave.
