Former British Open champion Kel Nagle didn't have one of his better days in the final round of the 1978 New Zealand Open.
After postingh an 82, he went over to the club's flagpole, lowering the flag to half-staff. "That is in memory of my putter," he said, "which has died."

President "Ike" also insisted that the tree be cut down. Obviously even the president doesn't get everything he wants.
