Re: Overlook Ridge
The 465 yard par 4 fifth hole is wide open off the tee. The landing area is slightly mounded making you adjust your downhill approach to a large and sometimes tricky green. Your drive must avoid the bunkers on either side of the fairway and a high trajectory approach is favorable to clear the bunker fronting the dance floor.

Thanks Tarheel!!
Re: Overlook Ridge
Hole #6 is a 570 yard par 5 that can be reached in two with extremely accurate shots. For us regular duffers be aware of the narrowing landing area off the tee that is well protected on either side by well placed bunkers. The layup shot can be tricky with the sloping fairway and crosswinds so take care on your approach. If you find the fairway you'll likely be left with a sand wedge to a very tricky green. Pin #4 is very tough from the wrong angle. This hole can range between an eagle to a double bogey so approach with caution.

Re: Overlook Ridge
At 459 yards the par 4 7th hole is beautiful off the tee with water everywhere but it shouldn't come into play at least from this tee box. What's that you say? If you look at the overhead there is another set of tee boxes up and to the left that play to this same hole but we'll talk about that on the back nine. Your drive will find a fairway sloping left to feed the bunker so aim to the right of the landing area. Power hitters might carry the peak of the hill and get a favorable roll but it will be against the wind and risky. The large, long green is tucked back to the left and fronted by a huge bunker and there is a pond on the back right. The water can come into play as the green while large and long is not very deep so the long iron approach must be precise.
