Re: Old Timers Competition 2024
Just watched Juan's Rd 3 and it was one of his best ever. With a little bit of luck on the greens, it could have been 5 or six shots better, with many putts left within inches of the hole. Juan, you are clearly on the improve.
I also watched Tarheel's Rd 4 and what a round he put together. I will really have my work cut out for me if I want to get anywhere near his great score. Well played mate!
Surprisingly, I haven't seen any rounds from Galen yet. Hopefully, he is just on holidays and we will hear from him soon.
I am hoping we will be able to get one more event in before the end of the year.
Cheers
Brad

Round 1 at Lady Bower. The longest holes into a strong wind makes them quite a challenge.

Glad to see you're still with us, Galen.
I thought we may have lost you to the tour for a while there, as you are normally one of the first to get your rounds done.
Cheers

Re: Old Timers Competition 2024
Hi Guys,
for our final event of 2024, I've decided on something special!
We have lots of great designers, who have provided lots of great courses. But, there is one who stands head and shoulders above the rest. That would be The Golden Bear himself, Jack Nicklaus.
So, our final two courses will be two classics, designed by Jack and beautifully reconstructed for JN6 by three of our greatest ever GBC designers, Brian Silvernail, Scott Antes and Terry Armstrong.
So, without further ado, start limbering up for:
Cochise at Desert Mountain

Rd 1: Medium/Hard/Pin 4/Black Tee
Rd 2: Medium/Normal/Pin 2/Blue Tee
and
Castle Pines 2004

Rd 3: Mild/Soft/Pin 5/Black Tee
Rd 4: Medium/Hard/Pin 3/Blue Tee
Enjoy

Re: Old Timers Competition 2024
Hi Guys,
raining here, so just played my last round at Boulder Pass against Tarheel. Firstly, let me say, Tarheel is the World Champion at chip-ins. You have to see this round to believe how good he is at them.
It was another stupendous battle, which, yet again, saw me take out the Stroke honours (thanks to a lucky chip-in of my own on 8), only to, yet again, lose out on both the Handicap and Stableford scores. Well played Sir!
Spectacular course, with some very challenging pin placements in these conditions. Good challenge, thank you Mr. Holden!
Cheers

Just watched Galen's Rd 1 at Ladybower. Solid round in very difficult conditions, with only one blemish coming on the back nine. That completed our Rd 1 (assuming Randy is still too busy delivering Christmas mail). So, here are the results:

Re: Old Timers Competition 2024
Hi Guys,
just watched Juan's second round at Boulder Pass. He was going along very nicely, with lots of blue and red numbers, and I thought he was in for a bogey-free round, Unfortunately, one small error undid his otherwise faultless game. Still, a very respectable round!
As I had the game open, I thought I may as well play my first round at Cochise. So, here it is.
Cheers
