I played this round a bit quickly today and so missed some opportunities. First time I've ever played this course, and I really liked it. I could score pretty low here after a couple practice rounds next time I think under these conditions. The greens are fair, and if you land many of them, the putt should be in. I had fair trouble keeping it on the greens on some of the easier putting holes, which was a bummer.

Randy, there is no such thing as a delay on this tour. You get them done when you can. No pressure!

Brad, like you, I had not played Royal Harbour before. It is another fine example of Charlie's ability to take on different styles of courses and nail it. I'm really glad everybody seems to be enjoying these courses.

Cheers

I got one round in finally, it's been a busy week

One thing about charlie's courses is to take what he gives you.
Being one of charlie's earlier courses you can see his designer eye developing :-)

Had fun, only two cuss words :-)

Hi Guys,

Rd 1 at beautiful Chichamauga has been completed and there wasn't much in it, particularly in the Handicap and Stableford events. I was fortunate enough to sink a few putts that I might normally have missed, which allowed me to take out the honours in this round. But, as you can see, our handicap system is working beautifully, to keep scores close.

Randy, I can see why you cussed. One less roll on 15 and you stayed out of what I have named Galen's Gully (as he was first to go into it). But you manufactured a really good recovery, for what the pros call a "good bogey". After that drive on 18 however, I thought you were heading straight to the clubhouse for a stiff drink!

On to Royal Harbour.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Guys,

here's my Rd 3 played against Galen. Amazingly, when I went to get Galen's recorded round, I discovered that I had none of my own. I couldn't believe that I had never played Purgatory Creek before. One thing for sure is, I will be playing it again. I loved the challenge of this course, having to think about which type of shot to play and working out how hard to hit approach shots with medium winds and soft greens. Fortunately, Lady Luck was on my side today and a few bounces went my way. Almost had the perfect back nine, but the 18th proved to be be just a bit too good for me.

As we progress through these four courses, they just keep getting better and better. We all should be eternally grateful to Charlie for these gems, that he has gifted us.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Guys,

just watched Juan's Rd 2. It could have been so much better, hitting two trees that it appeared he would clear; and I counted eight first putts that shaved the hole. But, that's golf.

Here are the Rd 2 results, which saw Galen's good round of 61 snaring a share of the Handicap honours and taking out the Stableford event for this round.

Cheers

Brad
