Hi Guys,

sorry I've been AWOL for a while, but August is my birthday month from Hell. We have four in just 11 days within my immediate family, and ten more when you count the in-laws.

Anyway, I have finally got round to playing Rd 1 at Chickamauga, and all I can say is bring your A game, especially with your putter. I managed to sink a few that I could easily have missed, so not too shabby.

But, if at any time you think playing this course is tough, just remember what our good mate Charlie is going through!

Here's my Rd 1.

Cheers

I will get to playing a couple of rounds soon. I think its right for us to have a hard time playing to show tribute to his suffering.

First two rounds on Charlie's very challenging courses.

Just Watched Galen's Rd 1. That's the first time I've seen someone hit the flag-stick three times in one round. Twice you were unlucky the ball didn't fall in the hole and on 15, it just seemed to take the wind out of your sails for the next couple of holes. A bit unlucky all round. :/

Hi Guys,

here's my second round, played against Galen. There wasn't much in this at all, with us going blow for blow on the back nine. Really nice round Galen.

This is a nice open course, or so it seems. Charlie has placed some trees in very strategic places, which require you to really think about the shot you are about to play. As per usual, the fairways are not wide, so accuracy off the tee is important, if you don't want to be blocked out or out of range, because you're in the rough.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

just watched all four first rounds posted so far. As Juan says, this is a beautiful course, not only to look at, but also in its craftsmanship. These have to be some of the best engineered greens I have seen. Put it in the right place and putting can be reasonably easy but miss the mark and look out. I have never see so many putts shave the hole, as I did in this round. All credit to Charlie's skill as a designer!

Of course, you can always do what Juan did on the 6th and just knock it in from the fairway for a nice eagle. Definitely shot of the round!

Cheers
