Pine Valley - Gustin & Deoruin Version

Post by JReel »

Hey guys,

I received the golden ticket invite to play Pine Valley later this year so my interest in this course is (not surprisingly) sky high right now. I downloaded the two GBC versions from the library and really like the Gustin & Deoruin version. I would love to get my hands on the uncompiled version and do a bit of an update (there was significant tree removal and other work done at Pine Valley recently). Would anyone happen to have the uncompiled version or know how I could contact Philip or Chad to see if they may have it?

Thanks,

Jeff

If the uncompiled version is not available, is there any kind of utility out there that can basically unzip a compiled course so that it can be worked on in the designer??

I'm not sure this is what your looking for Jeff; I searched google but it's way past my headroom :wow:

"converting a compiled file to uncompiled file" or "converting a compiled code to uncompiled code"

Just a guess it is possible!

Hey Randy,

Yeah, it is possible. I did a bunch of graphics work for the Madden 08 football video game and we created graphics packages in TPF files (which where compiled). But there was a utility called a TPF ripper (or TPF extractor utility) that would take the compiled file and produce an uncompiled version so you could access and work on some of the individual graphics files inside the TPF file. So, it is doable, just not sure if anyone ever came up with something like that for compiled GBC courses.
