Re: Gators or Crocs?

I like the texture set you're using Bryce! Which libraries are you using as of the latest screenshots?

The course looks great so far!! I really like the idea of tempting players with the drive-able par 4s with disaster awaiting the errant shots.

Can't wait to play it!

Re: Chloe Ann Golf Club by Steve Opfer [New Course]

Thanks for the comments everyone! I appreciated them greatly! Have fun with the course. I'm hoping someone might decide to rework it into just two par 5s and two par 3s on each loop. I think that'd be fun to see. Bryce, the large size might be because I'm using a huge amount of objects around the bo...

Re: Chloe Ann Golf Club by Steve Opfer [New Course]

Well 1st off I want to start by saying beautiful job on this. Just played it for the 1st time and you`re gonna hate me for this. Before I post my scores, please keep in mind that I play online every day with the die hards that are still around. Played front and back on ave dry breezy. Front- Shot -...

Re: Chloe Ann Golf Club by Steve Opfer [New Course]

Actually, after scoring a +24, I let my "perfect Player", a computer generated player, do a round, and he scored -11. He doesn't get a lot of birdies unless they're staring him in the face. He also can't get eagles unless he's only 10 feet away or so, but I have noticed that he plays a VER...

Re: Chloe Ann Golf Club

Let me confess something here, I mapped out this course on the wizard. I tried to vary each hole distance based on a yardage calculation I made where each par 3, par 4 and par 5 would be an equal range of distances over the allowable distance range; in other words; one long iron par 3, one mid-iron ...

Re: Chloe Ann Golf Club

The course is now available here. If you'd like we can also host the architect file here as well, we have several others at the bottom of the utilities page already. Do it! Vance Cook talked me into that as an alpha tester of the game; release the ach file and it will spur others on to take up the ...

Re: Name that Course?

I sponsored an art show based on computer golf. Forget the guy's name, but he made famous designs in the course that reproduced great works of art (at least when you were looking at it from the overhead), but, naturally, you couldn't tell when playing...only in the overhead. That designer got some c...

Re: Chloe Ann Golf Club by Steve Opfer [New Course]

BTW--- Scored +40 on my own course tonight. Got +31 just on the front side. So much for the "teeth in the back nine" concept. :/ Of course, water eating me alive on the front nine did it. I never thought to put in drop areas. Actually, you can't on number 3; it is what it gives you if you ...

Re: Chloe Ann Golf Club by Steve Opfer [New Course]

Thanks Polsdad! Yes, I loved tinkering around under the hood! Brought back a lot of great memories. Also, I never realized it before, but you're right about the back nine being tougher than the front nine. I designed the holes in order, so maybe that had something to do with it. I can assure you, th...
