Terrain Assist is the program that actually brings the data into the CA. You have to use some type of mapping software on the data first though to crop it down to just what you need and save it in the format Terrain Assist expects. I use Global Mapper for this now and I am working on a new tutorial for my process for this.

Previously I used 3DEM for this and the directions are in my old tutorial here: http://www.zagerdesign.com/golf_design/ ... /index.htm. Compared to Global Mapper it's not as easy to use, it's less versatile at loading data types, and less accurate for lining up imagery but the big benefit is cost, it's free.

Ignore the fact that it says TW08, the program was built for the TW CA but it works with PGA's CA too.

Thanks Brian. I saw that tutorial for TW 08 but never knew the program was built into TW.

Yeah it was pretty lucky that it worked with PGA. Thank Headgate for hardly changing the CA at all when they started making TW.
