Hi Guys,

Just watched Randy's Rd 4 played against Galen and Juan and there wasn't a lot in it. Galen's consistency helped him get up by a couple of strokes, with Randy's putter doing him no favours, with at least four or five missed chances on the greens. Juan continues to improve, and overall it was a good match to watch.

Galen's Rd 3 59 was the difference in the overall competition, seeing him sneek in in both the Handicap and Stableford titles by the slimmest of margins. Next tourney sees his handicap based on his best eight scores from his previous twenty rounds, so it will be interesting to see if he can keep up his good strike rate in these events. Randy will also progress to the same handicapping methodology in Rd 4 of our next event, so we will all be on an equal footing after that. As you can see from the handicap graphs, basing your handicap on only your best eight scores does make quite a difference (Look what it did to Juan's handicap!).

The FedUp Cup couldn't be much closer, with Randy currently leading the standings (remember, lowest score wins). But, with six months to go, only 15 points in it, and some handicap changes in the wind, who knows where this will end up.

Juan will be picking our next venues, but he has asked me to pick the conditions. So, once he gets back to me with his choices, I will post the details and see you on the first tee.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Guys,

Juan is obviously sick of all the low scores we have been getting, as he has picked a couple of rip snorting courses for us to play this tourney. Given tournaments are supposed to get harder as you head into the weekend, I have chosen to save the best till last, to really shake up Rds 3 and 4.

The courses and conditions are:

Alluring Lakes 2 by Voyen Koreis.

Rd 1: Medium/Hard/Pin 3/Blue Tee
Rd 2: Mild/Soft/Pin 4/Black Tee

We then move on to a brute of a course.

Mark Twain National Forest GC (Gallows Course) by John W Carlton and Jim "Big Bird" Deadman.

Rd 3: Mild/Normal/Pin 2/Black Tee
Rd 4: Medium/Soft/Pin 5/White Tee

Good luck!

Brad

Hi Guys,

here's an early Rd 1 for you. I was going alright and then totally screwed up the 18th.

Be warned, some of the blue tees are not flat. So, check them before you hit!

Cheers

Hi Juan,

here's Alluring Lakes:

I'll have to ask Tarheel to post Mark Twain Forest GC, as it is not in the forum course list yet.

Cheers
