Captain Nemo wrote: May 4th, 2022, 5:12 pm Thanks Charlie. Did all the good things as instructed when I downloaded JN6. Put a few courses in the "Courses" Folder but they do not show up in the games list. Just the "Originals that came with JN6. Possibly a Win 11 Issue? I have had a few of those, but usually with Microsoft Store Apps. The Old Stuff (with a little tweaking via Forums tips) usually works OK. Go figure!
Hmmm. Not your first rodeo, but let me just confirm. You have unzipped the courses and put the .course files into the Courses directory, right? And you have not put the .course files into separate folders, right? The game won't find a course that is inside its own folder.

In looking at the Properties of a typical course file in my Courses directory, in the General tab the Read-only and Hidden file boxes are unticked. In the Security tab, my Group or User Names include SYSTEM, my name with email address in parentheses, and my name as an administrator; in Permissions for System there is a check mark under Allow beside every task except special permissions.

This exhausts my troubleshooting knowledge for JN6. I run mine in WIN 10; have not tried to install it in WIN 11 yet.

I assume you have already tried this suggestion for courses that don't show up - viewtopic.php?t=1297

Captain Nemo wrote: May 3rd, 2022, 12:59 pm Thanks very much! Big List!!!! I decided I would start by matching against Links 2003 courses for comparison purposes. However I have no Idea where to put the JN6 courses so they show up in the JN6 Game. Any help would be appreciated. Also will all of the listed courses run in JN6?
Captain Nemo, It might help if you could provide the directory path of your JN6 installation.
For example on my computer it is C: > GBC > Data > Courses
I seem to recall some member on the GBD forum had a similar problem. Turned out they were moving the .course files into their Documents folder.

Thanks for following up. "C: > GBC > Data > Courses" is where I installed GBC also, but as noted previously, this did not work for me.

I have a couple more suggestions. Please don't be offended as I'm just trying to be helpful.
1) Have you examined the contents of the Courses folder to confirm the courses are there?

2) Right click on the JN6 shortcut you use to launch the game and then click Properties. Check the Target box and confirm that it has the following:
C:\GBC\JNGBCGolf.exe
If it displays something else report back what it does have as a target.

Good luck.

Galen: Thanks for your info and patience. User stupidity! I didn't know I was supposed to put the Downloaded files in the Courses folder. I must have been asleep during that lesson. :bg: I was clicking on the Downloaded file on my desktop and selecting the option to "OPEN WITH GBC ?". Strangely there was no error message or anything. GBC would just open and of course the Course would not be listed. All is good, if the downloaded courses are put in the COURSES folder.
Cheers
