Hi Juan,

how frustrating for you that one hole detracted from an otherwise good round. You almost got an eagle on Hole 5 and without Hole 8 and only scoring pars on two of the other Par 5's you might have hit a sub-60 round. Glad to see your putter is behaving a lot better.

Your handicap improved by 4 shots now we are only counting your best eight scores from your last twenty rounds, but even with that, you scored well on holes you were receiving shots on, so still scored a very respectable Stableford points score.

Good luck in Rd 2, when you only have mild winds to contend with.

Cheers

Brad

Not bad for your first JN6 round since October last year, Randy. You played to the handicap that you had back then, despite missing a couple of chances to improve your score. I fancy you are going to be an immediate contender in the Handicap and Stableford events and probably the Stroke events, when you get your rhythm back.

Cheers

Round #1 on this beautifully done course. Another Daniel Higgins masterpiece. Playing from forward tee requires a different strategy, for me anyway.

Hi Guys,

our little competition just keeps getting better and better.

Not only do we welcome Randy back following his eight month break from JN6, but the scores and competition just keep getting closer and closer.

I watched Galen, Juan and Randy play each other in Rd 1and it was really enjoyable to watch, with 8 changes of the honours on the tee (Randy 7, Galen 6 and Juan 5) and not much in the scoring. Things got even closer when everybody's handicaps were thrown into the mix, with just one shot separating all five of us.

Below are the scores and leaders after Rd 1. On to Rd 2!

Thanks for the update Steve. I wrote to Charlie earlier this month and was pleased to hear from him that he is on the improve. Fingers crossed he continues to get stronger and we soon see him enjoying life to the full.

I know he has been playing some cyber golf with Randy, so hoping he might return to our little competition sometime in the future.

Cheers
