I'm excited about this years championship, mostly because 90% of the coverage and conversation is NOT about Tiger Woods. As of right now there are so many players under par (about 15) and the second wave has not even started yet. I love the course set up this year, with quite a bit of birdie opportunities. There will still be tons of bogeys, but is going to be fun to watch. My friend Mike and I always take 2 golfers each in the majors for a small wager. This year he has Dustin Johnson and Angel Cabrera and I have Lee Westwood (who is not faring too well at the moment) and Ricky Fowler.
I'm taking this week off from playing golf myself to watch the U.S. Open, so maybe I'll get back into a course I started in April too.
