When you download Pine Haven you will get two courses that are of incredible gameplay quality. In fact, I could not find anything on the East Course to complain about - I loved everything about it! I loved the strategic elements, the nice blend of textures, the landscaping, the sounds - just everything. The West Course was a little bit less in quality but still was a top notch effort by Steve. I enjoyed every Par 3 on both courses. For my rounds, I did okay (see my post on feeling like Tiger  ). I shot a 3 under par round on the West Course at advanced level with a/n/b conditions. I shot a 2 under par round on the East Course at advanced level with a/n/b conditions. I am still off a bit but making a comeback. The nice thing about these courses is I finished thinking I could have done better with my round - meaning the course did not beat me up but provided a fair challenge. I believe this is hard to do but somehow Steve's courses always seem to find that balance. You will find courses with a prettier look and you will find courses with more pronounced strategy but for my money the East Course has enough of both to make you want to tee it up and try again. I feel the East Course is an A lister hands down - it is that good. The West Course is a worthy challenge. Thanks Steve for your work and contribution to our community.

Sandwedge! Glad you liked them. After working on both for months I became indifferent at times on how much I liked them. Just a little tired of playing with the architect by the time the project was nearing completion and playing them over and over. Looks like your game is showing big improvment.

Steve,
I haven't had the chance to play the courses yet, but I just wanted to thank you for your contributions to the community. It is people like you who keep this game going.

Hi Steve,

Nice to see new courses after several months.

I loved the look of both courses, but found the back nine on both courses extremely tough. with rough unfair, long putts that did not go close and distances not reached, because of the limitations of this unforgiving game.

I have played over 900 courses over the past three years in this game and from an average of +10 and now around +3, having improved in putting and driving,
but it remains the toughest and the most unforgiving, I also play Links 03. Links 01, TW08 and GBC regularly

I shot +9 east and +6 west and the handicaps of +19 and +11 reflects the toughness of the course.

I hope you continue to release more courses, as the other three games is still releasing more courses than PGA2000.

Cheers
Brian

Brian! Thanks for taking the time to right some comments on the courses. I consider both of these courses to be somewhat difficult but i've made some other courses more difficult then them. Of course that may depend on the wind and if set on very dry. The west course key is keep your ball dry (lots of water hazards) be patient and know when and where you can attack. The east can play tougher even though there's less water. I consider the back 9 on the east pretty tough so you better score well on the front 9. That being said there are still a few holes on the back that you should have a good chance at birdie. The rough can be tough but not brutal. All of the fields are hazards or (Out of bounds) but most of the fairways have plenty of room for your tee shots. I try to make courses challenging but also fair. I also try to make them to where it takes a few rounds to really get to know the course and its little quirks.

Great job with both of these courses Steve! I think the East course is your best work yet. The layouts on both courses were very nice. The greens were pretty difficult on 'very dry', but still playable. The look of the East course was realistic and will be receiving alot of play by me! As sandwedge mentioned, the par 3's were impressive.

Great job Steve!

Doron! Thanks for the kind words. Looks like your course will be the next release.
