cpg 2 or wgc 2011 and p3pro

Post by garibaldi46 »

Just wondering if there is any way to use either a p3proswing pad or optishot with either the cpg 2 or world golf 2011?

Moving this to the WGC Technical Help section.

I'm not familiar with how the hardware works for p3proswing/optishot but CPG/WGC only have the options of a mouse swing or 3 click. Those simulator companies have customized versions of the software to work with their simulators so you would probably have to get their version of the software from them.

Thanks for your reply, it sure would be nice if you could. I'm in the process of making my hometown course, would be nice to practice during the long winter here in Northern New York.

When I've worked with P3ProSwing all I do is send them the published WGC course file. They must do some kind of file conversion so it works in their simulator version of the software. I don't actually have a simulator myself so I don't know the details on this. It'd probably be best if you ask them if they can do the conversion for you.

It is my understanding that any simulator company that uses the WGC 2011 courses pay Red Chain a fee to convert the courses so they are compatible with the individual simulators. The lone exception is my product, http://www.fitnessgolf.net. The moment new courses are created and uploaded to this site, they are instantly playable with my simulator package with no conversion required. So technically, an owner of my package could create a course with the WGC 2011 editor and use it just for themselves. But that wouldn't be very nice right?
